Douglas
E. Kingsbery earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Duke
University. He has practiced criminal law in North Carolina for more
than twenty-five years. He was among the first attorneys in North Carolina to be
certified in the practice of State and Federal Criminal Law by the North
Carolina State Bar, and has served as the Chairman of the North Carolina State
Bar's Criminal Law Specialty Committee. Doug is a member of the National
Association Of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the North Carolina Academy
Of Trial Lawyers. He has tried cases in numerous counties across the
State, as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina. He is also
admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit,
the United States Tax Court, the Federal Court of Claims, and the United
States Supreme Court. He has argued and won criminal appeals before the
North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, and
the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Martindale-Hubbell. He is listed among the Best Lawyers in
America, is named one of North Carolina's "Legal Elite" by
North Carolina Business Magazine, and was named to the 2007 Super
Lawyers in the area of Business Litigation.
